Casanara B&B is a pleasure to spent time in and the right choice for visitors who are searching for a combination of comfort, charm and peaceful ambience in a quiet area. Our guest room, double with en-suite bathroom, is located on the first floor and very private. The house has a courtyard, where guests are served breakfast and dinner, if requested. The house has also a roof terrace with plants, where guests can relax, read a book, lay in the sun, enjoy a drink or use a small grill together with the hosts.
The house is a 5-minute walk from Heladeria jardines Enrramadas (ice cream shop), the main train station and El Parque Alameda. This park at the seaside is part of a promenade that opened in 1840 and redesigned in 1893. Nearby you will see the old clock tower, aduana (customs house), El Puerto del Rey brewery, where often live music is played and a cigar factory. The Bacardi Rum Distillery also is in the vicinity.
The harbor has been enhanced with an elegant ‘Malecón’ (Santiago de Cuba seaside walk), attractive palm trees, restaurants, a playground and a new park. People like to come here to enjoy the harmonious view and the breeze, that comes from the Caribbean Sea. From here, it is only a few minutes to reach El Parque Cespedes, the main square of Santiago de Cuba and downtown, with its many tourist attractions. El Parque Alameda and El Parque Cespedes both provide access to WIFI.
For your convenience a guarded parking lot is only 50 m from the house. The train station, a small Shopping Mall at the Old Ferrocarril (train station) and Cadeca (exchange house) at the Centro de negocios, are all in walking distance. There is a picturesque open-air Mercado (food market) nearby. The Serrano bus stop for the beach is also close.
